What is SpeedX®?
SpeedX® is an award winning high intensity interval training program based on CrossFit and functional fitness methodology. SpeedX® is proven to be the most effective workout for weight loss, muscle development, and increased endurance. Every SpeedX® class is a full body workout, and no two classes are ever the same, continually challenging your body with no plateau effect.
SpeedX® uses scientifically proven Tabata training modes to push your body to burn more calories, consume more fuel, and continue to work hard after the workout is done. Athletes go through a constantly varying series of 4 to 8 fitness stations throughout the 60-minute session, using every part of the body to complete functional tasks. The SpeedX® workout is proven to build strength and lean muscle, increase energy and improve moods, and demolish any plateaus.
SpeedX® is real fitness with real results. Guaranteed.

SpeedX® works on multiple levels to lead to maximum results.
The multi-station format of SpeedX® effectively activates both types of muscle fibers throughout your body. Fast twitch muscle fibers are activated using resistance and weight training, and burn energy and calories for hours following a workout.
SpeedX® effectively stimulates metabolic conditioning, thus improving your aerobic and anaerobic cardio endurance, also known as your VO2 Max. Your lactate threshold, or the exercise intensity at which lactic acid starts to build up in the blood, is also improved, thus increasing muscle endurance.
A typical SpeedX® workout will burn between 700 to 1,100 calories. More importantly, your metabolism will go into overdrive so your calorie burn continues for up to 72 hours following each class.
SpeedX® classes include a wide variety of low load movements, many using just your own body weight and plyometric-style motions.
SpeedX® classes are designed around YOU. Even though the class is a group setting, the workout loads are tailored to you, your ability level, and how hard you want to push yourself. Our coaches are there to make sure you’re doing everything right – this means that they’re watching your form and technique for safety and effectiveness. As a result, you will experience a workout at 100% of your ability.
All of this leads to faster and stronger gains than ever before, and you will find yourself challenged like you’ve never been before, doing things you never thought possible, and achieving goals and targets faster.
The versatility of SpeedX® makes it the ideal single workout for everyone, regardless of your goal.
If your goal is to shed weight and improve your general health, SpeedX® will get you there faster than any other program. The low load, high interval foundation works to burn fat and increase muscle growth, without adding bulk. The full body nature of the workout hits all major muscle groups and fires up your metabolic rate, leading to elevated calorie and fat burn well after the class is over – continuing for up to 72 hours following class.
If your goals are athletic based, whether it be increased speed, stamina, or muscle mass, SpeedX® can be tailored to meet those goals. Increased loads and intensity will amplify the effectiveness of movements and lead directly to muscle development and performance. You’ll see leaps in performance throughout your fitness and athletic range.
Unyted Fitness offers SpeedX® in several levels for all skill and ability levels. While classes are fully customizable to every fitness and ability level, we suggest you start off with SpeedX® Basics as an introduction to the class and movements.
SpeedX® – The class that set the standard in high intensity interval training. Winner of Best Fitness Class by Los Angeles Magazine, this 60-minute intermediate level class offers an intense full body workout for the athlete in you. Class consists of a 15-20 minute warm-up, complete fitness instruction on a wide range of stations and movements designed to take you beyond your limits, and a cool down that incorporates core and ab movements.
SpeedX® Pro – A unique mix of strength and conditioning training with Olympic weightlifting. SpeedX® Pro combines the best of SpeedX® with CrossFit-style training designed to take you out of the routine and into massive gains. Inspired by professional football training programs, this class emphasizes strength and a full body workout.
This class is open to all members who are proficient in SpeedX® or have prior CrossFit experience, and are comfortable with basic Olympic weightlifting movements.
SpeedX® is totally different from any other fitness program out there, whether it is Boot Camp, Interval Training, or Pilates. SpeedX® is based on CrossFit-style functional fitness and Tabata protocols, the most innovative and effective branch of sports science available today.
While a typical Boot Camp will have you working on a particular body part in intervals, and running on a treadmill for half the class, SpeedX® is full body every day. Nothing overlooked, nothing missed. The constantly varying program changes daily. You will never repeat the same workout, and your body will never adapt to SpeedX®! No plateau effect, and endless gains in health and performance.
The vast majority of fitness programs utilize isometric modes of training, meaning that they isolate muscles or muscle groups and work on them exclusively. Whether in Pilates or Boot Camp, when you focus exclusively on a muscle group, you do so at the detriment of the other muscles. You may burn calories while you’re in class, but as soon as you’re done working out, your calorie burn rate drops significantly. SpeedX® utilizes plyometric modes, so multiple muscles are targeted in each movement, giving faster and broader results.
No. SpeedX®, by its very design, leads to long and lean muscle development. You’ll see definition in your arms, legs, buttocks, and your overall body shape will seem elongated and leaner than before.
Like any fitness regimen, you get out of SpeedX® what you put into it. We recommend doing SpeedX® at least twice a week to see improvements. Three times a week will increase the quality and pace of improvements, and if you’re really motivated, you can do SpeedX® on a 3:1 schedule, where you work out 3 days in a row, with a day of rest before the next round.
Within two months you will notice that your energy levels are elevated throughout the day, your appetite for food is strong but selective, and your overall mood has greatly improved. You will also notice significant drops in weight and body fat levels, and improvements in speed and endurance. As far as how your body will look, you’ll be getting compliments from friends and strangers, and looking for a new wardrobe because everything you own will be too baggy to fit.
As with any fitness program, exercise is only one of the factors in the overall picture. To get the most out of SpeedX®, you can meet with our coaches for a consultation to discuss potential changes in diet and supplements, as well as overall lifestyle changes.
SpeedX® works best when done in conjunction with an eating program that provides you with high protein and vitamin levels, as well as general supplements.
As far as lifestyle changes are concerned, the number one factor we look at is how much rest you’re getting. Sleep is the most powerful recovery program we as humans have. It’s better than any powder, pill, or shake, and making sure you get enough sleep is our first goal.
The classes look intense from the outside looking in, but once you’re inside, the coach will make sure you’re doing things right, and doing them at a level and pace that is safe and productive for you. We don’t believe in the Drill Sergeant format of training. Our coaches are positive and encouraging, pushing you only as far as you want to be pushed, and giving a helping hand when you need it.
